How does Reiki Work?

Reiki is a whole body treatment  and goes to all levels of the recipient activating the body's natural healing capabilities.

The person is fully clothed during the session. Using a massage table is the preferred method but Reiki can also be done with the recipient sitting on a chair.

The healing energy comes through the practitioner's hands using several hand positions on or above the recipient. This can be  experienced differently by many recipients.  Some may feel nothing and others may feel cold, heat or tingling sensations. None of this matters, since it will be effective either way.

Some people find their pain levels will diminish after just a few sessions, for others it disappears totally. Many chronic conditions will either disappear or will be greatly improved. Healing does take commitment and time.  For first time clients it is recommended to begin with three or four sessions dealing during a two week period, and then once weekly or every two weeks until issues are resolved or improved.

Disease normally starts out in the energy field so combining Reiki with healthy life habits such as exercise and nutrition will keep us on that high road feeling good. Remember our conditions did not occur over night so we must take the time necessary to return to the "Healthy State"  physically and mentally.

After a Reiki session it is recommended that you take the time necessary to enjoy your state of relaxation. Drink plenty of fluids since your body will detoxify. Get plenty of rest and eat properly. Pay attention to your body and how you are feeling.  As you continue through the treatment plan recommended for you, you should be payig attention to your overall-well being and make the changes in your lifestyle to maintain your new found healthy lifestyle.Reiki is a simple process but very effective for many ailments while providing a state of peace and relaxation.
